Where My Colors Actually Came From
These are some of the pieces from my work back in 2011. I got to create my own color palette, and I picked my color combinations from nature. And trust me I didn't copy my ideas from any other source. I was even told to "see and get ideas" but I just couldn't do it. For me, that was cheating. Plates, Spoons and Zero Apologies
At Dandy School of Fashion Designing in Lahore, we had an assignment that stopped everyone in their tracks — create a non-wearable garment. No rules about what it had to be made of. Just that it couldn't be worn. My mind went straight to a skirt. And for some reason — silver paper plates. My instructor looked at the silver and told me to use another color. Final Collection- Dandy School Of Fashion Design, Lahore 2009
This was our final project fashion show at Dandy School of Fashion Designing, Lahore. To be honest one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Each student has to create three looks: daywear, cocktail & evening wear. My theme was Sufism, its flowing forms, earthy tones and quite spiritual elegance translated into fabric the way I understood.
